My fused glass handmade glass tiles (paintings) are made by painting several colors of enamel paint and adding powdered and crushed glass (frit) onto a cut sheet of glass. Each tile is made individually and requires multiple layers of opaque and transparent paint to create a painting made entirely out of glass. All tiles are painted and fired on average of seven to ten times (depending on the amount of detail) in order to achieve realism and depth to a piece. Some of the paintings I start with the Sgraffito method as the first layer, using black powder and firing it, to create more depth and a certain mood to the finished piece.

My YL Handmade Glass Tile collection comes in two sizes: 5 x 7 and 6 x 9 and each is numbered and made to be collectable for the glass enthusiast. My Farm Animal SanctuaryTile series features an animal from a local farm sanctuary. My Wildlife Bird Tile series features various local birds from the New England area.

Each tile is mounted and framed and ready to be hung on the wall.
